i was just visiting this remote farm in ecuador, and this 25 year old kid was guiding the tour, and easily hurdled a 4-foot barbed wire fence at a full run to chase a rogue calf. in keds. among other crazy athletic feats all in the day’s work. athletic feats with a purpose. it makes yuppies that spend $120 on shoes and run for ‘fun’ (such as myself) seem a little… odd.
